The Rules:
- Do not touch any props or scare actors.
- Phones and Photos are not allowed inside the event. (You may take photos outside, before or after entry.)
- This event is both indoors and outdoors. Be prepared for uneven ground and chilly weather. We are open rain, snow, clouds, or moon.
- Drunk or visibly intoxicated guests will not be allowed in, and unruly guests will be removed with no refund.
- No outside food or drinks. No smoking, vaping, or any open flames. Sparkling and still water will be available. Beverages from Gold Dirt are ok in to-go cups.
- Costumes cannot include any props, weapons, or costume masks or hoods that cover the face. Covid-protection face masks are allowed.

What is Haunted House Dance Party?
- Haunted House Dance Party is a first-of-its-kind Halloween event hosted by Spookygrass and Haunted Stage Stop in Rollinsville, Colorado. Costume ball meets haunted house in the backyard and basement of Haunted Stage Stop. Presenting DJ Slickabod Crane and Slay & Stinson, winners of the 2025 Rockygrass band contest, alongside a full cast of scare actors. Local businesses are throwing down with craft cocktails, craft beer, wood-fired pizza & more, and a brand new food truck.
What is Haunted Stage Stop?
- Haunted Stage Stop is a historic and haunted venue that has been closed to the public since the late 2010's. For 2022-2024, Spookygrass has built a traditional linear walkthrough haunted house. In 2025, we are throwing Haunted House Dance Party!
How is Haunted House Dance Party different from other costume balls and Colorado haunted houses?
- Most costume balls are not scary. Area haunted houses last between 10 and 40 minutes. Most concerts are not this interactive.
- The creators of Haunted House Dance Party are professional musicians and haunted house creators. We know exactly what goes into a great show and Haunted House Dance Party is throwing down with a bluegrass band, DJ, a full cast of Haunted Stage Stop scare actors, a large outdoor area, and a non-linear indoor haunt. Attending this event will net you 150 minutes of haunted event time with free-roaming scare actors and live music. We know of no where else that offers this type of experience.
Is Haunted House Dance Party appropriate for my child?
- We will do our best to scare your children if and when you bring them. You make the parenting decisions; we love scaring humans of any height and size. Kids are allowed at the attraction and we love to see them.

Why is the ticket price so much more than previous years of Haunted Stage Stop?
- Tickets are extremely limited and the haunted event experience is 2.5 hours, compared with our previous years average of 18 minutes. You will meet our full cast of actors, and be entertained by an award-winning bluegrass band and virtuoso DJ.
- All taxes and fees are included and shown in the initial ticket price. SO - what you see is the actual price, and you will not be charged any hidden fees.

Where is Haunted Stage Stop?
- Haunted Stage Stop is located at 60 Main St, Rollinsville, Colorado. HSS is in Gilpin County and easily accessible to the Peak to Peak Region, Gilpin County and Boulder County. Our ghosts are 9 minutes from Nederland, 35 minutes from Boulder, 45 minutes from Golden, and 1 hour from Denver.
Where do I park?
- Parking in Rollinsville is extremely limited - PLEASE CARPOOL! Park anywhere you can, legally. Please drive extremely slow through Rollinsville. Dirt road parking is fine. Please observe all signs and do not block any driveways.

Can I wear a costume?
- Of course - celebrate Halloween in epic fashion with us! Full costume masks are not allowed on our premises and you will be asked to leave them in your car. Covid-precaution facemasks are allowed.
Who is Haunted House Dance Party?
- Haunted Stage Stop is presented by Spookygrass Productions, a collective of ghost whisperers who cultivate haunted house experiences in actually haunted houses. Their previous haunts include Haunted Ferncliff (Allenspark, 2020), Spookygrass (Gold Hill Inn, 2021), and Haunted Stage Stop (2022-2024).
